After the 1st poster presentation

1. How did this exercise help me improve my communication skill?
After my presentation I thought this was a great exercise for me because it helped us speak, write, and to communicate. The point I could not really do was the '5 by 5' method for making a poster. My poster had more than 5 lines and 5 words so next time I should try to work on this method. Even though, I learned how to write good posters by looking at the posters of others.
To conclude this exercise was very fun and effective for me!

2. What advise can I give to classmates about their posters?
I thought using many visuals were very nice. More over, hand writed visuals seemed more attracted! My poster had visuals but it seemed not that much attractive so I should also work on that. Oh and I really liked Miku's poster! It was really attractive and nice!

Revised interview questions

For my interview I changed my questions to a more realistic ones.
1. What do you know about cloning? When or where did you learn it?
2. What did you thought when the cloned sheep 'Dolly' was created?
3. Recently a new method of making the stem cells developed. Will you prefer using the new stem cell technology for your health?
4. Recently the FDA in the US allowed to sell cloned cow meat. What do you think? Will you prefer eating it?
5. Do you think cloned technology is needed?

It may take time but I think this is better than the last one I had made.

The questions I thought for the interview

We discussed about the questions we were going ask for the interview. At the end of the discussion I chosed four questions for my interview.
1. Can cloned humans have the same right as uncloned humans? Or will they be discriminated?
2. If the technology of stem cells develop and be able to use to humans, do you think there will be some problems?
3.If we use cloning what will be a "family" genetically?
4. Recently America has permitted to sell cloned meat . Do you prefer eatting that meat?

My questions seem to not link each other that much so I think I should analize these.

Bioethics Interview

I interviewed Chiyuki about " If you could genetically engineer your child, would you do so? Why or why not?"

Her answer was " Partly No". The reason was that it is not natural for controlling the genes by human. Although she agreed to genetically engineer for health usage. For example, I think every parent will think they will want there children to be healthy, so if the child had a gene which cause specific diseases she said she will engineer those genes to become healthy.

I think I can understand her view. If I was a parent I will do such action. Although, is that good? Is that right for the human nature? Well there will be less diseases and it will really be a happy society but I think there are some things that we should not just step into. Umm... the issue of biotechnology is difficult.

My Topic for Bioethics

My interest in Bioethics is Cloning. I still don't have enough knowledge so I have many questions to this topic. For example, if we allow cloning and make cloned humans, can they earn the same rights as humans? Another question is that is it aceptable to create a life by our own hands?
One thing we can say that we already have the technology in cloning and it's becoming a reality.
